Frequently Asked Questions
Effectiveness & Results
Does this actually work?
It genuinely works. The Cleorra uses the same ceramic blade technology as professional grooming tools, just in a compact design. It cuts hair at skin level - not below like razors (which cause ingrowns) or above like bad trimmers (which leave stubble). You get the same smooth results as shaving, just without the irritation. If it doesn't work for you, return it within 30 days for a full refund.
How long does the smoothness actually last?
Honestly, about the same as regular shaving - 1-3 days depending on your hair growth rate. The Cleorra doesn't remove hair from the root like waxing, so it's not going to last weeks. The advantage is you can use it daily without damage since there's no irritation, so you can maintain smooth skin consistently instead of dealing with the grow-out cycle required for waxing.
Will this work on thick, coarse hair?
Yes, the motor is specifically designed to handle coarse hair. You might need to go over thick areas twice or use the trimmer head first for very long hair, but it will cut through it. The ceramic blades stay sharp longer than metal, so they maintain cutting power even with tough hair. If you have PCOS or naturally thick body hair, this will work - just go a bit slower.
Does it really get as close as a razor?
It gets very close - about 98% as close as a fresh razor blade. You can feel the tiniest bit of texture if you run your hand against the grain, but visually your skin looks completely smooth. Most people find this unnoticeable, and it's worth the trade-off for zero irritation. For special occasions where you need absolutely glass-smooth skin, you might still reach for a razor, but for daily use, this is more than smooth enough.
Pain & Sensitivity
Okay but seriously...does it hurt at all?
No, it genuinely doesn't hurt. The worst you might feel is a light vibration or tickling sensation. The blades can't cut your skin because of the guard design - it's physically impossible to nick yourself when used properly and correctly. Even on sensitive areas like bikini line or underarms, it just feels like a gentle buzzing. If you've ever used an electric toothbrush, it's actually less intense than that.
I have strawberry skin, will this work for me?
Yes - it's actually ideal for strawberry skin! Unlike razors that worsen KP (Keratosis Pilaris) by causing inflammation, our Trimmer's rounded ceramic blades glide over bumps without catching or irritating. It removes hair at surface level without disrupting sensitive follicles. Many that suffer from KP report significant improvement because it breaks the irritation cycle. For best results: use on dry skin, follow with a gentle exfoliant, and moisturize swiftly afterwards!
I have extremely sensitive skin. Will this work for me?
The ceramic blades are hypoallergenic and the rounded design means no sharp edges touch your skin. Most people with sensitive skin do great with it. However, everyone's skin is different - you might still get some mild redness if you're extremely sensitive, though nothing like razor burn. Test it on a small area first, and if you're not completely happy we have a 30-day return policy!
Will this stop ingrown hairs?
It significantly reduces ingrown hairs compared to regular shaving because it cuts hair at skin level instead of below it. The hair grows back with a natural tapered tip instead of a sharp edge. You won't get zero ingrown hairs if you're very prone to them, but most users see about 95% reduction. Still exfoliate regularly for best results.
Usage Questions
Can I use this on my face?
Yes, it's safe for facial hair like upper lip, chin, cheeks, and between eyebrows. However, it's not designed for men's thick beard hair - it's made for women's facial hair which is typically finer. Don't use it too close to your eyes, and be gentle around delicate facial skin. Many girlies use it daily on their upper lip with no issues.
How often do I need to replace the heads?
Realistically, every 6-12 months with regular use (3-4 times per week). You'll know it's time when you have to go over areas multiple times or feel any pulling. If you use it daily on coarse hair, you might need to replace them closer to 6 months. With light use, they can last over a year.
Can I share this with someone else?
While it's hygienic enough to share (you can sanitize the heads with rubbing alcohol), we don't recommend it for intimate areas like bikini zones. For legs and arms, sharing is fine if you clean between uses. Many couples buy two - one for her, one for him (Yes, men use it for body grooming too).
What happens if I drop it in water?
It's IPX7 waterproof, so dropping it in the sink or tub won't damage it. Just fish it out, dry it off, and it's good to go. However, don't leave it submerged for extended periods, and make sure the charging port area is completely dry before plugging in. Water damage from normal shower use is covered under warranty, but improper use and negligence is not.
Technical & Practical
How long does the battery last?
You get about 90 minutes of actual use time, which translates to roughly 2-3 weeks for most people. If you're doing full body every other day, maybe 1-2 weeks. The battery does degrade over time like all lithium batteries - after a year, you might get 70-80 minutes instead of 90. You can use it while charging in a pinch!
Is this the same as those as-seen-on-TV shavers?
No, this uses actual ceramic blade technology, not just vibrating metal foil. Many TV shavers are basically rebranded $5 units from wholesale sites. The Cleorra has a powerful motor, legitimate IPX7 waterproofing, and ceramic blades that stay sharp.
The charging cable seems basic?
It comes with a standard USB cable (no wall adapter) because most people have plenty of USB ports. The cable is about 3 feet long. You can use any USB wall adapter, power bank, or computer to charge it. If you need a longer cable, any USB cable will work. This reduces electronic waste!
Comparison Reality Check
Is this better than laser hair removal?
No, laser gives longer-lasting results (weeks to months after multiple sessions). But laser costs $2000-5000 total, hurts significantly, requires multiple appointments over months, and doesn't work on all hair colors. The Cleorra is the perfect price, painless, works instantly on all hair types, and you control when/how you use it. Different tools for different needs.
How does this compare to epilators?
Epilators pull hair from the root so results last 2-4 weeks. But epilating is painful (like mass tweezing), causes significant irritation, and can lead to lots of ingrown hairs. The Cleorra Bikini Trimmer is painless but needs more frequent use. If you can tolerate epilator pain, you might prefer longer-lasting results. But If you've tried epilating, you know it's a hassle. Cleorra is painless and irritation free!
Should I just stick with my regular razor?
If regular shaving works perfectly for you with no irritation, you might not need this. Cleorra is primarily for people who get razor burn, ingrown hairs, razor cuts, suffer from strawberry skin, or are tired of buying expensive cartridges every month. It's also for people who want something that's great for travel, quick touch-ups, and sensitive areas. If this is not you, there's no need.
